Flashy Shorts - The Third Instalment

Good Guy Publishing is pleased to announce the return of our 'Flashy Shorts' competition. We are currently looking for Flash Fiction (500 word max) and Short Story entries (5000 word max) of any theme.

 

Terms & Conditions

All GGP competitions are free-to-enter and open to anyone interested in writing. 

We don't mind previously published work as long as there are no publishing restrictions where copyright is concerned and that the submission is your own work. 

Winners and runners up will be published in an electronic anthology entitled 'Flashy Shorts - The Third Instalment'.

 

Prizes 

1st Prize for both categories is £5.00

2nd Prize for both categories is £2.50

Three runner-up prizes in both categories will recieve an honourable mention in both the anthology and on the GGP website. 

 

Closing Date:

1st October 2016.

Fees

Entry is FREE (but entrants are restricted to a maximum of two entries per competition).

  

Format

Entries must be in English.

Email entries only please to [email protected].

 

Please enter the appropriate competition title in the 'subject' section of your entry - e.g. 'Flashy Shorts'.

All entries to be in a .doc format, double spaced, no page numbers or headers/footers please.

Emails must show the entrants name, title/s and word counts for each entry.

No corrections can be made after receipt, so do please check your work prior to submission.

 

Results

Where possible, short lists will be published a month or so after the respective closing dates.

Profiles & Bios of the top three winners from each competition will be published on the Good Guy website six to eight weeks after the respective closing dates.

Copyright

Worldwide copyright of each entry remains with the author.

 

Judging

Good Guy Publishing judges the entries with the help of impartial judges. Their collective decision is final and no individual correspondence will be entered into.

 

Royalties

Authors published in this anthology will not receive royalities, as all profits generated from this publication will be donated to a charity selected by Good Guy Publishing prior to publication.
